Electric shock weapons that can be used against the human body include stun guns, shock batons, and cattle prods. The body is temporarily incapacitated by stun guns but not by other gadgets.

The peak current from stun guns is noticeably two orders of magnitude more than that from the other devices, and both the outputs from the stun guns and the non-incapacitating devices have distinctive waveform shapes and magnitudes. The output parameters were compared to the information on the effects of electric currents on the human body and the electro-immobilization of farm animals in order to comprehend the potentially harmful consequences of these outputs on the human body.

Direct contact weapons (such as stun guns, stun batons, stun shields, and projectile electric shock weapons when used in direct contact with the skin), projectile electric shock weapons, and body-worn electric shock devices (such as stun belts or cuffs) are the three main categories of electric shock weapons.

The electric fists, on the other hand, are categorized as category D-2 and are consequently available for purchase by anyone who is at least 18 years old. When the shoker’s electrodes come into contact with the attacker, an electric shock will be delivered, interfering with the signal the attacker’s brain sends to his muscles and paralyzing him, preventing him from continuing to be aggressive. He becomes utterly bewildered and briefly loses his footing. After 5 to 10 minutes, there will be a complete recovery with no after-effects.
