I will admit despite having a similar military background, growing up with people of different races and nationalities around me, I would probably be cautious around you if I was alone. However, that’s because you are male not due to your skin tone.

OTOH, I would like to see articles such as yours be more inclusive towards people of colour in general. I’m of native american ancestry and native americans have an equally appalling record for being killed by police officers.

I would also be surprised if it isn’t also the case that in the south, hispanics face a much higher rate of death by an officer than whites. In their case, many of them get written off as illegals which seems to make it “okay”.
