“When in doubt — play chess.” — TEVIS

Whenever I have second thoughts about my life, career or I’m facing any kind of dilemma, the first thing I do is contact my friends if they are available for a game of chess and if they aren’t (which btw happens a lot, as not a lot of my friends play chess😂😂, say 1 or 2), then I go online, not on social media but on Lichess.org or Chess.com, playing some games & making new friends.

Chess might seem tough for some people but I can assure you that if I can play it, anyone could play it. I don’t possess any special knowledge or skill to play chess but after learning certain principles and theories about chess, my knowledge and skills have definitely improved over time.

Chess games go on for hours and a chess player has to be able to maintain the concentration for a long time. This ability to concentrate will help in many other arena of life. A fighting spirit and a never say die attitude is developed by playing chess. Such an attitude is needed to weather the storms of life.

I am convinced, the way one plays chess always reflects the player’s personality. If something defines his character, then it will also define his way of playing. — Vladimir Kramnik

The first step is always the toughest but once you get passed that you’ll know what a beautiful game Chess is.
