Hi Medium.

First post jitters

Just found out about this one…Medium. And I’m having that same familiar uncomfortable feeling again. It seems like every time I enter a new social media community, those same feelings of insecurity show up that I’ve had since kindergarten like when trying to join a new group of kids on the play ground.

Interesting inner dialogue: Will the masses like my posts? Or will I be FB humiliated again with just one or two likes…or no retweets or pins…Actually, I’m not quite sure how this one works either. Do they call themselves ‘mediums’?

But I’m here. Hi Medium. Awkward silence. Breathe.

Smile. I’m game. I’m up for this new-to-me blogging community. Frankly, I just like to write. Most times I have something to say — about life, mistakes, love, fear, food and chocolate (yes, it deserves it’s own category). Sometimes it’s funny. Sometimes sad. Sometimes, life has pissed me off, and writing is my outlet.

Mainly writing helps me gain perspective and clarity in my confusing world where I’m working on “being a better me”…while living in a world of good vs. evil. And along the way, if it helps someone else, that’s good too.
