Impressions matter.

It had been only a couple months since Sid launched into recruitment consultancy (2005) when he reached out to an international PE client.

To his luck, there didn’t seem to be any ostensible work. But that’s usually the case with all clients. It’s common business practise to engage with large players without work. And so he went about the process. But what was always different with Sid, and now FyneHand, was that he genuinely cared to help people and keep their interests at heart.

He was emphatic about his work and recommend the PE client options that he felt were a good fit.

And yet none of that sustained or brought him work.

A couple years later, the very same head of the PE reached out. However this time he wasn’t “looking to hire”, and was rather looking “to be” hired. He trusted Sid to place him as a director in another PE firm. Sid did do some digging, but nothing ever transpired. Nonetheless, he took keenly to Sid’s perspective and guide.

Time waned. Sid climbed the corporate ladder and launched FyneHand.

17 years later, he gets a call out of the blue. The ‘to be’ of PE was now the CEO of the largest real estate conglomerate in the west, and said ‘Sid, I’m building this thing can you help me’.

It started with an Operational head, and in mere 3 months FyneHand built the entire management team. 10 positions closed, ranging from Construction Head, Head of Corporate Finance, Head of Lesioning and more — all between a CTC of 40 lakhs to 2.5 crore.

FyneHand seeks to complete another batch to 10 leaders with them.

What’s more is that they were so impressed with speed and quality of talent brought in that they introduced us to 2 other companion Real Estate players; for whom we’ve closed 2 Directors Each !

Impressions last. Relations last. Deals and Mandates don’t always work the way we expect. But the camaraderie we build with Clients and Candidates have a karmic way to incite solutions.
