The Need for Adventure

It birthed like a calamity
Shattering my assumed reality
Into deepest of emotions I was thrown
Freezing the untitled uncertainty.

Its wants and demands grew
Inching me to pursue
The limits of land and sky
For truth hidden behind lies.

It’s fuel was not hope
But rather an inert need
Suppressed to the core
Stale and still
It lied unseen.

Deepening sadness was its cue
To unleash torrential images
Of who I am
And
Who I could be.

This is the story
Of an unending venture
Calling to find myself
Was
This need for adventure.
