A new UI has been deployed to heartcount as of 2019.11.12. The primary motivation of this UI Change is to provide a consistent user experience in using “ⓐ filtering”, “ⓑ analysis condition setting”, “ⓒ analysis request” menus.

Before vs. After

As shown in the picture below, we’re now providing consistent User Interface for ⓐ Filtering to (de)select for records and variables to use for analysis, ⓑ analysis condition such as drill-down, comparison, target variable setting, etc, and ⓒ button for sending the analysis request to the server.

ⓐ filtering menu:

  • as shown below, every page now has the integrated record and variable filter bar to adjust the dataset for analysis.
  • applied filter(both record and variable) is automatically saved, so if you go to another page, the previous filtering option will be maintained
  • you can drag&drop a variable from the analysis result (e.g., from small multiple pages) to the filtering area to filter out the variable (this feature was previously enables only for driver analysis and micro-segmentation pages)
  • fyi, filtered-out variables won’t show up in the analysis result; however, all the variables will appear and available to choose from for “ⓑ analysis condition setting” regardless of current and active variable filtering conditions.

ⓑ analysis condition setting

  • in dashboard and drill-down pages, users can add variables to drill-down KPIs or target variable against as follows (similar to the way we ask question using [Ask Question] interface)
[new drill down condition UI]
[our ask question feature]
  • in difference analysis page, analysis condition setting UI has been separated just like all other pages (previously comparison condition and filtering UI was integrated)
  • when a record filter is applied, variables in analysis(comparison) condition setting are automatically updated such that the range of variables reflect the current subset of dataset (e.g., profit range is shown based on the current active filter[subcategory=binder])

ⓒ analysis request

  • we have unified all the “analysis request” button at the upper-right corner of the screen.
  • the message in the button is context-aware
