“Ambition is the path to success. Persistence is the vehicle you arrive in” -Napoleon Hill
It is so easy to get lost in the everyday hustle and bustle of life and completely loose track of those lofty goals you set for yourself when you were feeling your most determined. YOU know deep down, ignoring those goals will not ultimately bring you happiness. You know how worthy you are and you know that you are capable of pushing yourself harder and following even your wildest dreams.
This week I got caught up, I forgot where I wanted my focus to be in the gym. I worked my butt off when I was in there, but lacked consistency. I went to bed earlier than normal and missed a few days on that were simply just unnecessary to miss. I thought about giving up, giving in and forgetting about my fitness dreams. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE EASIEST THING TO DO. It also would have been the silliest thing to do.
Instead I decided that I would use Sunday (my day off of work) to hop in the zone, and go in harder and more focused than ever. My workout consisted of legs, post legs I ran(1.8 miles)to the the sauna down the road; sauna’d, ran home (1.8 miles), refueled while challenging my mind (with some personal development), then I hit the gym yet again for shoulders and back.
It was the best workout I have had in a while, It resulted in me feeling more focused than ever and more sure of my ability to crush all of my goals. It left me sore for sure, but all the best workouts usually do. ;) It forced me to push myself even when it felt like I should give up. Mentally it helped me the most, after all everyone thing we do is 100% mental. If we believe we can, we will! Life is all about following your heart, and my heart partially resides in the gym!
This example of hurdling through limiting beliefs happens to have happened in the gym; however every single day life presents us with interesting challenges leaving us with an ultimatum; GIVE UP, GIVE IN, and TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT. Or my favorite option, show life you’re ready to push through this endeavor harder than ever, and come out more positive than ever. Finishing out this week, I will make sure that consistency is on my list of things to improve on.
Sending infinite amounts of love your way,
