“openSUSE.Asia Summit is one of the great events for openSUSE community (i.e., both contributors, and users) in Asia. Those who usually communicate online can get together from all over the world, talk face to face, and have fun. Members of the community will share their most recent knowledge, experiences, and learn FLOSS technologies surrounding openSUSE.”

a conference that is held annually in various countries around the world using openSUSE. Various topics are discussed, ranging from technology, community, opensource and others. this activity presented speakers from various openSUSE users in Asia, with various backgrounds and scientific focus.

Last year the 2018 openSUSE Asia Summit was held at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taiwan.

This year there are approximately 52 speakers who have shared it at oSAS 2019, with several main speakers among them. Many backgrounds of speakers who shared this material, such as early semester students, to professionals, some from the community. I am one of those who got the opportunity to share at oSAS 2019. By the way, I have not yet introduced myself.

This year I had the opportunity to share material with the title

Minimizing International Internet Traffic Usage From Internet of Things Devices Using Local Server on openSUSE with Blynk

This topic talks about a time when IoT has become our daily life in the world, all things will be connected to the internet. this will cause new problems. if all IoT equipment connected to the internet using limited international internet lines will cause a swelling of foreign exchange expenditure to finance the internet. Therefore I raised this topic as a solution to the problem.

This is my first opportunity to share at an international conference. Of course, it is not easy for me because I have to prepare well the material to be delivered and also how to deliver it so that the audience is not confused. it also bears the name international conference. of course not only attended by Indonesian people but also many foreigners who come, which means they must be prepared with good English.

many things will not be forgotten about this experience. The 2019 openSUSE Asia Summit was very memorable for me. Next, I share some event documentation.
