ReceetMe is a program designed to create digital receipts on one’s mobile device. ReceetMe is an instant solution to the inconvience, mess and hassle with paper receipts for in-store retail purchases. Many times, consumers lose or discard receipts, making it difficult to return or exchange purchases. With ReceetMe, the consumer will never have to worry about misplacing or forgetting their receipt.
Helene Berkowitz, founder of ReceetMe, came up with the idea for her company when she was unable to find a receipt for a pair of pants she was looking to return. After endlessly searching through hundreds of receipts, she thought “Why, in such a high tech society, am I getting tiny bits of paper, every time I buy something from the store”. Berkowitz realized that there was no clear market leader to offer an alternative solution for this specific post-transaction experience. That is when she came up with the idea for a completely digital mobile receipt platform, ReceetMe.
Helen hopes, that in the next 3–5 months, her startup will be able to complete their MVP (minimum viable product), and strenghten partnerships with small retailers.
*Fun Fact- Helene was previously part of a women’s theatre group called the “Drama Mamas”.
