The founders of SPEAK, Eitan Noiman and Chanan Kupietzky, created a new marketplace for online on-demand language learning. The platform is a simple interface that both teachers and students can use to connect and interact at any time and place via on-line calling.
Before SPEAK, Eitan found himself having difficulties communicating in the business world, as English is not his mother tongue. In attempt to improve his English speaking skills, Eitan took several programs to advance his skills, yet found that there was no “good, easy solution to practice the oral ability to speak”. That is when he came up with the idea to create a program that connects students and teachers together and give them the ability to have private learning lessons, at any time that works best for the students. Noiman took the extra step to make the program easy, accessible, on demand, and chose to call it SPEAK.
Currently, SPEAK analyzes what time of day is best for the student to learn, as well as understands what kind of teacher and personality is most suitable. The goal for the next few months is to make language learning accessible to everyone at any time. The SPEAK team is also working on developing their own artificial intelligence platform that tests and scores the students language for automatic assessment. Eitan adds that they wish to create a unique system which can analyze the student’s behavior, and then provide each student a personal solution to help incorporate learning into their daily routine, because they believe this is crucial to learning.
