The Girl I Love Is Out Of Reach
I live in a town located in southern Ontario. It’s very small and very quiet. The people are friendly and simple, very simple. I write about my small town, not because it’s important in the story but because it’s so far away from where I need to be.
Social media can be a great thing, it can also be a terrible, scary hell like place. With social media came a larger percentage of long distance relationships, you could meet any girl at the click of a button and bam, she was buying a bus ticket to come see her mystery man. I wish I was as lucky as this imaginary woman.
I met Brittlyn online sometime in March of 2014. A tall, gorgeous brunette who lives in Payson, Utah. That is a 27 hour drive, oh and I don’t have my license… so the whole time I’ve known her has been the ultimate tease if you will, perfection that stays just out of reach.
I used to be a naysayer who thought that you can’t possibly forge a connection over the depths of the Internet but like many times before, I was wrong. She loved the same music as me, shares the same views as me and is just the most loving girl I’ve ever talked to. I was love struck but like I said, always out of reach.
Through my time in knowing this girl I have felt first hand that somethings need to be pursued, somethings you can’t let slip by.
I don’t know if she’ll ever be mine or if I’ll ever even meet her but I do know that I have to try, this needs to be pursued.
