Enough!

Enough with this nonsense of your female fragility. Enough propagating the lie that women are some subclass and that all men are trying to oppress all women. Enough with blaming every tech company in existence of being some evil entity that torture women.

For the last four years I have seen this accusation thrown again and again and in none of those cases has anyone bothered to substantiate any of it. I just see companies fall on their swords, vowing to change their ways without actually knowing what is it that they actually did wrong. Why? Because not doing so looks bad in the public eye, because just an accusation is enough for people to take their pitchforks and march toward the establishment, to cry on mainstream media: “think about the women!”

No. like always, all you have is conjecture. Only words that lost all meaning and serve as the pundit sword in their efforts to ruin a business for their own gains.

What does “rampant sexual behavior” mean? Are the employees having sex in the office? Are they expected to leave their clothes before entering the building? Do they waste their time fondling each other?

What does “unbearable environment” mean? What about “a ‘boy’s club environment at work” or “focused on sex and degrading women, including female employees” Does any of the above mean anything other than hyperbole?

our default response is to dismiss their claims

Yes, as it should be. No one should be believed automatically. A person should make the effort to substantiate his claim. Of course, in this age of hierarchy of oppression, if you don’t bow down to the victim, you will be labeled with a myriad of names that don’t really mean anything.
