4 Graceful Ways To Drape A Saree For Reception

Graceful Ways To Drape A Saree For Reception

Honestly, every woman dreams about her wedding wear ever since she has seen her mom’s wedding snaps. And the attire that surely has been attracting us ever since childhood is the ‘saree’ because this is the attire, which most of us have seen our mother, grannies or other relatives wearing in almost every occasion. If you have planned to put on a saree on your wedding reception day, then make sure you tweak the way of wearing it, so that you look unique.

If you have too many Party Wear Sarees in your closet, then try to experiment with them instead of wearing them in the regular ulta pallu style. So, apart from some standard drapes that everybody knows, we have listed out four draping styles that are graceful, and perfect for a reception.

Double Drape Style

Double Drape Style

If you are really fond of the ‘Mumtaz’ draping style but afraid of walking in that, then go for the double draping style because that is really comfortable. In this draping style, you need to keep the bottom part same and leave a longer portion for the pallu. Then, lengthwise fold three-fourth of the pallu and drape it around your waistline, followed by the second wrap, as you do for ulta pallu.

Butterfly Drape Style

Butterfly Drape Style

This draping style is better known as the “Bollywood draping style”, and this style is really trending. Butterfly drape style is a twisted version of Nivi or ulta pallu style. The only difference is that the pallu is pleated in a very thin way so that the navel or, at least, your waist contour is visible. If you have an attractive figure and have a few Bollywood Designer Sarees, then do try this draping style.

Mermaid Drape Style

Have a curvaceous figure? Then you must definitely try out the mermaid style draping, in order to look as stunning as a mermaid. To try this style, you need not pleat and tuck the saree in your petticoat; just pleat the pallu. Then finally, when you are done pleating the pallu, tuck the remaining portion of the saree to give it a skirt-like look. Take one edge of the pallu and spread it around your back and bring it forward on the right thigh and pin it under the drape (pallu’s drape).

Rajrani Drape Style

Rajrani Drape Style

If you want to look like a ‘rani’, then there can’t be a better draping style than the ancient Rajrani draping style. The style is a slight variation of the Gujarati style draping. The only difference is that the pallu will be slight ‘v’ in front instead of falling straight like the Gujarati style.

Hope you’ll try draping your Latest Designer Sarees in the above-mentioned styles. These draping styles are not just bound to a reception party, you can drape your saree in graceful ways for any occasion, be it a festival, kitty party or any other celebration. So go ahead, and keep experimenting! If you want to look stunning in your reception, then go and grab some latest Indian Designer Sarees from Simaaya Fashions.
