Last November , I got my first personal smartphone , the Oneplus 7T, about which I didn’t even imagined about when I was preparing the list of smartphones under my budget , but as always, you never know what’s gonna happen, that applies to me at that time. I was looking for some other smartphone to buy which contains all features i needed in my smartphone , but when I was looking in the market , it was not available offline. So I shifted for Redmi K20 pro , but when I discussed it with my father, I just got one reply

“ when you are going on so far, let’s jump a little bit more”,

and the next thing I knew was landing up to OnePlus outlet. and in 2 day, I got my new friend , the OnePlus 7T.

(lots of personal stuff and story :D )

Lets first Discuss about the phone :

Design

  1. The 7T ‘s designs is similar to their predecessors, with an anodized aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass on both the front and back.
  2. The 7T has a near-full screen display with an 86.5% screen-to-body ratio; a small notch at the top of the phone houses the front camera.
  3. The 7T is available in Frosted Silver and Glacial Blue, both of which have a matte finish.

Hardware

  1. The Snapdragon 855+ processor with the Adreno 640 GPU, both of which have a higher clock speed than the chipset used in the 7 and 7 Pro.
  2. It is available with either 128 or 256 GB of non-expandable UFS 3.0 storage and 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. A 6.55-inch (166.4mm) 1080p (1080 × 2400) AMOLED display is used with a wider 20:9 aspect ratio, while retaining the 90 Hz refresh rate of the 7 Pro.
  3. The 7T uses a 3800 mAh battery.

(my old Mi 4 has 4000 mAh battery, but you know “ With Great Powers, Come Great Responsibilities”)

Software

  1. The 7T runs on Oxygen OS 10, which is based on Android 10.

In recent years, the competition for mobile phone camera is becoming more and more fierce. In OnePlus’s view, the greatest significance of making a good camera is to record “truth”. There is a memory and story behind each photo.

This time, the OnePlus 7T is equipped with a rear ultra-clear three-camera, a 48 million-pixel IMX586 ultra-clear main camera, supporting optical and electronic anti-trembling, and a wider range of 117 °ultra-large wide-angle lenses, supporting 2x optical zoom. With super video anti-shake, ultra-wide-angle night view, super macro and other functions. Through the tacit cooperation of software and hardware, OnePlus 7T brings better shooting quality and smoother shooting experience.

All right, let’s not say much. Let’s take a look at the camera samples and talk as we watch it.

● Design

The OnePlus 7T looks similar to the OnePlus 7 on the front, but wildly different on the back. The display is slightly taller, giving it a longer 20:9 screen-to-body ratio. This extends the size of the display to 6.55 inches versus 6.41 inches on the OnePlus 7, and the change is noticeable in the hand. The phone feels a bit more candybar-shaped, and I’ve enjoyed the extra real-estate during my time with the device.

The sides of the device look practically identical to the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 6T. Volume buttons occupy the left edge, while the power button and signature notification switch are housed on the right. On the bottom, you’ll find a speaker, USB-C port, and a dual-SIM card tray.

The most important thing about the 7T is the new 90Hz display, which has trickled down from the 7 Pro. The screen itself is a little smaller and has a slightly lower resolution than the Pro’s — it’s a 6.55-inch 1080p OLED panel — but it’s just as glorious to use, thanks to that high refresh rate. Every interaction is exceptionally smooth. It’s really something you have to see in person to appreciate. I have yet to notice an instance where I felt like the lower resolution was a problem. It’s still very sharp, and the screen has great color and brightness overall. A new boosted sunlight mode will even get it up to 1,000 nits of brightness in direct sunlight, making it easier to see, and it supports both HDR10 and HDR10+ protocols.

The 7T doesn’t have a fully uninterrupted display like the 7 Pro because it doesn’t have a motorized pop-up selfie camera. Instead, it puts the front camera in a small waterdrop notch at the top of the screen. OnePlus claims this notch is 31.6 percent smaller than the one on the 6T and 7, and I haven’t found it to be annoying or obtrusive at all.

Like the 7 Pro, the 7T has an optical fingerprint scanner embedded in the display, which is perhaps the fastest and most reliable in-screen fingerprint scanner I’ve used yet. Although it’s using the same hardware as the 7 Pro, the scanner has been enhanced with software tweaks to be more accurate and even faster than before.

The 7T does have one new camera trick: a super macro mode that lets you focus as close as one inch (2.5cm) away from a subject. It’s a fun trick, though it can be challenging to use, as it’s hard to get a sharp picture that close to your subject. But it’s something the 7 Pro can’t do at all, so put that down as a point in the 7T’s column.

Pic from my camera.

Inside the 7T is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, which is technically faster than the 855 in the 7 Pro, but you’d be hard-pressed to tell a performance difference between the two. Like the 7 Pro, the 7T is one of the fastest Android phones you can buy, with no lag or stuttering anywhere to be found. The 7T is available for purchase in 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage model .

Battery backup : 3800 mAh it is okay for 5–6 hours of continuous use, and 4:30 hours for heavy usage like for gaming (PUBG), but normally I can relay on it for full day marathon with me till I come back home from college

Another advantage the 7T has is even faster wired charging. According to OnePlus, the new Warp Charge 30T is up to 23 percent faster than the Warp Charge 30 that’s on the Pro, and it should charge the 7T’s battery from 0 to 73 percent in just 30 minutes

It also has impressively loud stereo speakers. But you won’t find a headphone jack or USB-C to headphone dongle in the box, unfortunately, so you’ll have to rely on Bluetooth headphones for private listening or pick up a dongle to use your wired headphones.(that’s the sad part that you have to buy them additionally . One request , please include dongle inside the box if you could)

The 7T also has the familiar OnePlus complaints: it doesn’t support wireless charging (which might not matter to me as i am happy with the brick to charge it); it doesn’t have an official IP rating for water and dust resistance; and you can’t expand the storage with a microSD card.

# 4 months straight, now going to share my experience about OnePlus 7T

I am in love with this. Either the High quality images , videos , or powerful processor, I love this . Ya I got a little bit heat-up issues if I play PUBG on HDR graphics and Extreme Frame rates, but just change the settings to add additional 20–30 mins and heat free gaming experience while playing.

The dual stereo speaker are very much needed to teenagers, who knows when the plan to dance with friends could be made and the batteries are low of your speaker , this can help you a bit

The in display fingerprint sensor is very fast, and so is face recognition.

Ultimate gaming experience due to powerful processor as well as higher frame rates , Movie experience also enhanced due to high frame rates

Classic notification toggle feature has become a must feature for me in smartphone, you can change the setting accordingly, while the mobile phone is in the pocket, which is helpful in many situations.

The budge due to camera on the back side make it prone to scratches, maybe thats why the have given the TPU case , but the quality is really good, and

But due to this love, I sometimes get much distractions because of this, so Zen Mode comes to rescue. I personally love this feature, but would request devlopers to give option to users add timer accordingly ,so that we don’t have to again reset it for 1 hour another lock.

But i have one complain too. The in-built app locker operates with the same password as of on the lock screen , and when there could be multiple users , it is a problem. That’s why i have to add another 3rd party app locker . Would you look for that too so that we could set different passwords for phone and app lock for additional security?

VALUE FOR MONEY.
