*What words, phrases, or parts of the story catch your attention? Why?
*What is something you noticed for the first time?
*What questions do you have about the text?
*Was there anything that bothered you?
*What did you learn about loving God and loving others?

Reflect on the Woman at the Well.
*Who is she? How would you describe her?
*Do you identify with her? Why? Why not?

In the article above, the author talks about the power of secrets. The Samaritan woman “sees” who Jesus is — that he is a prophet — when he “tells her everything she ever did.”
If you were in a similar situation, would you imagine Jesus “telling you everything you ever did” to be a more positive or negative experience?
*The woman’s experience caused her to go and tell everyone about Jesus. Why do you think you think this was a positive experience for her?

*If you believed Jesus’ teachings were true, what is one thing you could do to respond to this text?
