Its Halloween season, so a scary topic for today!

Research suggests that we lose muscle mass as we age.

According to data, we lose an average of 8 percent of our muscle mass every decade after we hit 40, and after we hit 60 muscle loss increases at an even faster pace…

When we lose muscle mass from the body, the risks have been documented to increase for:

  • Diabetes
  • Osteoporosis
  • Heart disease
  • Arthritis
  • High Cholesterol
  • High Blood Pressure

So what can we do about this?

Well, here is some research that backs up the claim that Resistance Training — or training with weights (Weight Training) can prevent and reverse age related muscle loss: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17520024

I can design a programme of resistance training specifically and individually for you — which will stave off all the above-mentioned ailments and will also help you reach your health and fitness goals.
