Brilliant post this, Larry and I bet it will strike many a chord with those who read it! Too many highlights to reference here though this my stand out:

“Instead of chewing yourself out for making mistakes, use them as learning opportunities.”

Have always encouraged colleagues, clients and even my kids that to fail is to ultimately succeed…And that so long as you take learnings from your mistakes — and ideally avoid repeating them — the only way is progress.

There are many examples of those people from across a wide range of industry circles that society looks up to. You know the ones, the pioneers. Thomas Eddison (light bulb), James Dyson (hoovers), The Beatles and Madonna (pop music), Harland Sanders (KFC), Walt Disney (movie production), Tim Waterstone (books) Sylvester Stallone (screen plays and films)… There are of course many, many more!

What they all had in common is that they kept learning from their mistakes…That and they also had a simple formula. They had a goal, a desire and a belief to give them the best shot of success.
