The First Post

This is my first blog post. I will see how long I end up logging my thoughts here.

It feels good to have a space for my own. It is public but at the same time not so public since I won’t particularly make it known to everyone that I have a blog.

Hopefully it will act as a space where I can organize my thoughts loosely and hone my writing skills.

I’m currently using jekyll with markdown and syncing it with my personal s3 bucket to publish as a static website on AWS.

Now onto my daily thoughts.

I rented books called The Capitalist’s Bible and The Life of John D. Rockefeller, Sr from Gaepo Library.

Seems like The Capitalist’s Bible can be a quick and easy introduction to learning about capitalism in general. My goal in learning more about capitalism is to form my opinion and philosophy about money and learn how to control it. In reading Bertrand Russell’s The Conquest of Happiness for the past week, I’ve realized that happiness is really relative. Attaining financial freedom and building wealth in my own way will bring happiness. In order to do it well, I need to know more about money and thus capitalism.

The Life of John D. Rockefeller can be an interesting book although have not opened it yet. I guess I want to know more about the person who ruled the capital and how he did it.

The following blog posts might be shorter but I think this is a good start.
