Hey Dan. This is interesting take on creating pegged assets. One thing that is uncertain is the buying & selling of MMS and how it precisely affects the system’s components.
In putting up EOS, it gets split up with 75% going to excess collateral & 25% going to the EOS connector. In order to maintain the invariant, the USD…
> Don’t you think that the Harberger tax in the art industry will give an advantage to the richest to monopolize art from people who have less?
No, because the rich can do this anyway, with much greater capacity currently. If they have to pay tax, it’s MORE costlier for them to keep and hold art.
It’s only “zero-sum” if you define the value generated as only the money going in & out. It’s not zero-sum when you factor in that those who are bonding are effectively locking up liquidity as an opportunity cost for an additional benefit: coordinating.
Great read Slava. I tend to agree somewhat.
TCRs will thrive more if it is known *who* is participating, even if it is as little as an endorsement. eg: An oligarchy TCR with 5 known, reputable token whales will outperform a large crowd of anon curators.
Hey. Congratulations on the funding. I’m concerned though.
Is only one token going to be used for the incentive games of *many* TCRs? If so, I’m not sure how well the token mechanics will work, if at all.
In order to incentivize curators to come do the work of voting/curating, it needs to be clearer…
I agree with Spencer. I think one of the issues of an “Everything TCR” is that it’s more beneficial for a curator to do work when they know their work will attract more applications to the TCR. This is a good bootstrapping incentive mechanism for small/new TCRs, because the upside of doing work and making it…
That is potential behaviour, yes.
That’s part of the incentive game with curved bonding. The coordination game in curved bonding only works if many participants together believe the coordination game is more valuable than not having it. It’s like a company. Some stuff you don’t need to create a whole company for: like…
