Astrology: What I learned from loving a Sagittarius

Yes, I am one of those obnoxious people who goes around asking people’s star signs. Whenever I learn the person I am speaking to is a Sagittarius I inhale slowly. I brace myself, because it’s always an adventure when a Saggi walks into the picture.

The best parts of my life and the worst parts of my life were spent loving a Sagittarius. Just to be clear I’m not talking about one Saggi, I’m talking about all my friends, family and love connections past and present.

Astrology isn’t just about personality. It’s also about karma and the lessons our soul most wants (needs)to learn.

For me, Sagittarius falls in my 12th house and boy do I feel those karmic vibrations every time I meet a Sagittarius. For another person, Sagittarius might fall in their 7th house, possible predicting a husband or wife. For me, it isn’t so much wedding bells, it’s more like a blast from the past. The 12th house is linked to the collective unconscious, dreams, intuition and imagination. It rules prisons, monasteries, libraries, museums and mental wards.

If you are familiar with astrology, you will know that each person’s birth charts are VERY different.

It’s nearly impossible to find someone with the same chart as you (unless you are a twin and you were born almost immediately after your brother or sister). Your ascendent determines your birth chart. If you know your time and place of birth, you will be able to unlock the power of astrology, offers a free PDF drawing for subscribers.

My 12th house isn’t packed with planets (thankfully), but Uranus falls in it, making me a “closet rebel”. Uranus in the 12th house is a journey of intuition and creativity, releasing the artist from the constraints of society. Edgar Cayce famously had this placement, which was linked to his prophetic abilities and unconventional ideas.

With Saggi in my 12th house, my greatest lesson is to understand than freedom makes me more successful.

Freedom is at odds with the structure and financial considerations of my first house in Capricorn. My Sagittarius connections remind me that freedom should not be feared. It should be embraced. I don’t always see eye to eye with a Sagittarius, but I value their wayfarer ways. Loving a Sagittarius has taught me to let go and embrace the present without being imprisoned by the past.
