Van Life — part 8 — Greek cats, dogs, and hedgehogs

Day 31, 13 August, Thursday
Sidari, Corfu Island, is not our kind of place, because it’s too commercial and not very clean, to put it nicely.
“Can the van drive across the water?” a friend of mine asked.
Of course, it also flies out of space, and time travels-our next adventures: Mars and the UK in the year 1900. Yes, we can send the van with a boat, and we can go by plane anywhere we want the USA, Asia, South America, New Zeeland, if COVID lets us play with our new favorite toy.

Day 32, 14 August, Friday
The Camping place owners have an adorable dog (Rosie), and this morning she joined me for Yoga. She seems to love my yoga mat.

The washing machine drama.
I went to the owner to tell him I need to wash some clothes because he has to come and supervise the process. This is the golden rule here. Also, you can’t use your laundry detergent. It’s forbidden! So, I put my stuff into the washing machine, and then he puts the detergent (very little, as he is cheap) and asks me if I need softener too, hoping I will say no. But I’m a crazy adventurer, and I like a challenge and improvisation, so I say, “Yes, and…” His face fell off, and he put as little softener as he could. Then I rechallenge him by asking for the long program, 80 degrees, 1000 rotation — He looked at me as if I asked for a ticket on Mars, probably thinking I’m a pretentious princess, having this absurd requests. — I guess she wants…
