Cookie nibblers for less than a dollar.

30 days of joy. Post 3.

delectable.

What to do with an hour to kill?

I walked through the airport terminal looking for a spot to write in, while I waited for my plane to board. There was a coffee shop, a cinnabon, and a Mrs. Fields.

[By the way, this happened in Manila. Yup, Americans never really left us :)]

I opted for the third since cookies always hit the spot.

When I got to their counter, I peered excitedly at the display case, enjoying the sight of their famous buttery cookies. These cookies made my mouth water as a child. Adult me however can’t afford as many carefree calories. So I was hoping they’d have a lighter option, although I was almost sure they didn’t.

Until…

My eyes met these tiny beauties called cookie nibblers. The size of old-fashioned coins, with the same appetizing ochre color binding round chocolate dots, as the bigger cookies.

What made the find even more perfect was on Wednesdays they cost 40 pesos (80 U.S. cents) for 6. And today was Wednesday.

My tummy was glad and so were my tastebuds.

That hour went by quickly. So too those six delectable nibblers.

A project to try…

If you enjoy baking, why not make your favorite dessert in small bite size pieces? Each piece will be a delight, without the aftertaste of regret.
