Thanks for sharing your experience, and the insightful remark on over-protected world, in which our children now grow up. As parent, I often feel the same way that our children miss the real joy of life as everything is prescribed with the same formula: from educational approach, to the toys and games which children play. But for traveling without a concrete plan, is really beyond my imagination. I am thinking maybe I should do the same with my son, go somewhere and let him participate in planning the trip, but for a woman alone with a small child, the choice of destination is limited…
