I’m afraid that you give me very little hope with this answer. Here’s a few points :

1. If you think that Scotland is just waiting for Labour to get its act together, then try speaking to some Scots. They aren’t.
2. People over 65 aren’t going to be brought back with us being just being Tory Lite on pensioner policies (which is basically what you suggest)
3. Your media strategy is just more of the same. That’s going well so far, isn’t it?
4. Immigration is not going away as an issue however much propaganda you throw at it, and anyway in a propaganda war with over 65s the Express and Mail will win.
5. Boycotts of companies sound wonderful, but when those companies offer the cheapest products, then people on low incomes will buy from them because they have no choice. We can’t ask the lowest paid to do the dirty work — this needs legislation.

In general, I don’t disagree that what you say is what we should do, but the point that Owen was making was that it’s not enough. I’m afraid you really haven’t answered any of his substantive criticism.
