We just relaunched SitePoint.com, and it is beautiful!
Very proud today to announce SitePoint.com’s re-launch. As one of the world’s leading resources for Web developers, Designers and Entrepreneurs and an Alexa top 700 global website, we’re really pleased with the results of what has been a big project for us and the culmination of a lot of work from many different people on the team over the past 18 months.
At SitePoint knows a thing or two about incubating new ideas;
- Eight years ago, SitePoint spun out design content marketplace 99designs. Now the world’s largest online design marketplace, 99designs has raised $45M in funding and is eyeing a possible ASX IPO.
- The following year Flippa.com was also spun out of SitePoint and is now the #1 marketplace for buying and selling websites and domains, with over $175M in sales.
- Most recently, Hired.com and PromisePay.com, have been major success stories for SitePoint founders Mark Harbottle and Matt Mickiewicz, raising $70M and $10M respectively.
And today the new SitePoint.com is launched, bringing the best of SitePoint together into one more integrated platform — articles, video courses, books and tutorials, References and the SitePoint community, plus offerings from partnerships with Microsoft, Atlassian, WooRank and others.
The relaunch both continues and supercharges the phenomenal growth of the SitePoint network in the past 18 months, with the site doubling in size to over 5.5m unique users and 11 million page views a month during that period.
Our continued focus on creating real value for our global user community, supporting them in continually improving at what they do and providing platforms for them to learn, grow and innovate have been the cornerstones of our growth over the past 18 months.
The other cornerstone of our growth is our amazing team. Heartfelt thanks to my leadership team, Ophelie Lechat, Head of Content and Product, and Natalie Tarpinian, Head of Partnerships, Product manager Kyle Vermeulen, Adam Roberts, our Managing Editor and to everyone else on the team, who all contributed heavily to the new site. Great as always to be part of a small team with such big heart.
Additionally as always thanks to our extended team of Editors, Teachers and contributors — all part of a pretty dedicated family.
