Hi Mike,

Kind of sorry you got sacked, but not sorry also.

What I mean is that you’re better off out of an organisation with such a warped perspective on the boundaries between corporate work & personal opinion. On the other hand, you were one of the most innovative (not using that word as lightly as most) and creative souls that they had, so I’m sad that there’s something been lost there. Then again, perhaps open innovation & doing the right stuff from the outside is the better way. I took that decision in Feb when I left the Env Agency — there was enough data outside the organisation to enable open change, hence why be constrained by the fucktards…
