I would recommend starting with learning HTML. It’s the very base of web development, and it’s relatively easy to learn.
With HTML, you’ll learn how to structure a document. You can then start learning CSS to add styling to your HTML markup.
With HTML and CSS alone, you can create wonderful websites.
The next step, often a difficult one, but the most rewarding, is to learn JavaScript. JS will teach you concepts of programming languages, and will let you build interfaces your users can interact with. JS adds “behaviour” and interactivity to your website.
Learning JS will open many doors for your career. Use it on the back end with NodeJS, or on the front end. JS runs everywhere, and is a sure bet for the future!
Still, take your time, start with HTML and CSS. There are plenty of amazing free resources on Youtube / blog posts. Treehouse is an excellent online resource, if you can afford the monthly subscription.
I hear https://www.freecodecamp.org/ is most excellent to start from the ground up.
Hope it helps!
