You are right and this is true. This is a point often forgotten, but a democraty requires that citizens have time and education to get involve in the matter of the city.

That’s why education is so important, and that’s why people shouldn’t be working all the time. We need this time to inform ourselves, to think, understand, and discuss important matters.

Usually we don’t have this much time, and we need to do a extra effort to access the real, important news as you do, which make the situation worse.

I agree that removing oneself from any kind of news and debate is not a solution, but as for myself, I don’t find the energy to do it.
