Baby, You Were Born to Run (a newsletter)
Bruce definitely knows what’s up.
If you’ve ever read Bruce Springsteen’s autobiography “Born to Run”, you’ll know how hard he worked to get to the top of his game.
(Don’t be fooled by how large of a tome it is by the way…short chapters help make this one a great read to get through!)
He learned his craft and honed his skills at a young age, absorbing every bit of knowledge he could find.
Tons of gigs at pizza joints, dive bars, and pretty much anywhere he and his band could play.
He worked hella hard for a long time.
Wait, what does Springsteen have to do with newsletters?
Look, we’ve read all the amazing “case studies” about people starting newsletters. Even though “case studies” sounds like something you’d read in a medical journal.
Just me?
Sometimes the best way to learn something new is to take a new angle.
I’m a music buff and love reading biographies/autobiographies, so it’s a natural comparison when I think about two things that I love the most (music and email).
Still with me?
Cool.
