Ready, set, go

I’ve always been a pretty lazy person… well.. not true. When I returned home from my boarding school years, I became pretty lazy. I went from doing 4 hours of exercise 3 days a week, to absolutely nothing.

That’s going to change now though. I can tell that I’ve gained weight over the years but I don’t walk around telling people that I’m ‘fat’. I mean, I have no reason to.. I have a healthy BMI but it could be healthier, so I’m beginning to exercise again.

I think it’s really important to be honest with yourself and not lie to one self as well as others. Don’t pretend to do something when your goal and actual intentions are different from what you’re telling yourself. I think there’s something admirable about being honest with yourself. It shouldn’t be embarrassing to admit that you want to lose a bit of fat here and there, and it’s definitely something that should be necessary to cover up with random excuses.

Lots of people wants to lose weights and just imagine how much we’d be able to help each other out if we’re just being honest. We can be more encouraging, we can be more supportive, and even workout buddies.

Why get ready to fight this battle alone when you can fight with a whole army? I personally think it could be so cool to catch up with people and just be like; “yo check this out”, instead of sitting alone with it. Of course I believe that the greatest thing you can accomplish is being proud of yourself, but I also know that it’s super cool to brag about the things that I accomplish, and it could potentially encourage others to do the same thing.

So set yourself up for victory. I’m excited about going to the gym and doing some home exercise, just as I’m equally excited about other people doing the same thing.

This isn’t a place for body shaming and thinking that you just have to be model thin to be beautiful, and those do happen to be as such should also be proud, it’s awesome, and you guys shouldn’t be left out either. Everyone is awesome. All there really is left for us is to just go go go. Get to a mental and physical place where you’re happy with yourself.
