Simply Balanced Elmbridge… what’s it about?

Why Simply Balanced?…….
As a mum of two, I’ll be honest, trying to fit everything into a normal day is often a chore in itself, leaving little time for anything else! As parents we often wear many hats…we can be the cook, cleaner, chauffeur, personal assistant, entertainer, the list is endless. And all this before we start to think about work, fitness, health or even a social life. As life was only going to get busier, I decided something needed to change.
‘Everything in moderation’ is a phrase I use a lot and so I decided to explore what it means to live a balanced life and how to go about it. Could this be the answer to a simpler life?
My interest in a balanced lifestyle actually started a number of years ago, after some health issues. But, I never truly immersed myself in it, until now. Moving to Elmbridge a few months back, after several years overseas, created the change needed to adopt a new lifestyle. This seemed like a great opportunity to start living a balanced life. By doing so I hope to learn more about the local community and, through ‘Simply Balanced Elmbridge’, give something back to others in a similar situation.
So, what’s it all about?……
The aim is to provide a platform highlighting all aspects of a healthy lifestyle, the importance of balance and how to achieve it within the Elmbridge area and beyond. Being new to the area, I’m on a journey of discovery, trying to find out about the different activities and amenities available within Elmbridge, that support a balanced healthy lifestyle.
Along the way, some of the themes I’ll explore include:
- Physical health and fitness, and how they connect to our mental wellbeing.
- Pregnancy and postnatal wellbeing and fitness
- Physical and mental wellness of children, from babies through to teenagers.
- Nutrition and its impact on our wellbeing, both physically and mentally.
- Mindful habits and their benefits.
- Understanding meditation, how to do it and the benefits.
- But more importantly, how to incorporate them in to daily life when time is limited.
