.NET Portability Analyzer is a new tool to check application flexibility across various .NET platforms and how much workload required to build a flexible library.

Prerequisites

• Download Visual Studio: Link
• Download the extension if not installed by default

NOTE: Close all the visual studio instances to install this extension, or you can install it from Visual Studio Marketplace.

Getting Started

.NET Portability Analyzer solves at least below problems

• Is your library cross-platform?
• How much workload is required to make the .Net Framework application to run on .Net Core?

Analyzer Settings

Configure analyzer settings from Tools > Options > .Net Portability Analyzer.

Output Formats: List of the output report formats available, i.e., Excel, HTML, JSON, and DGML. The tool allows us to select multiple output format options.
