With the evolution of AI, computer systems can finish or augment assignments that would need human intelligence at a much more significant scale than we could execute ourselves in domains that incorporate speech recognition, decision-making and visual perception,. Public speaking-has long been viewed an art, as has communication in general. Beginning from grade school, there’s a viewpoint that you can be great in math and science or good at writing and speaking, however not in both. But artificial intelligence is empowering people to approach imaginative endeavors in a way that resembles math, obscuring the line between art and science. “Hybrid Thinking,” an interaction between human and cyber intelligence that is the next huge leap in thinking. So as the machines get intelligent, we can begin to gauge and track human behavior in forms that were never before possible.

AI will help leaders improve the way they communicate — Conceptually, it’s not overly complicated. If we can teach machines to identify what makes the audience respond (trust, engage, listen, act) and then equip the robot or device to measure all the factors in those communications (how we use our words, voices, gestures) that may affect those reactions, then we can use data science and algorithms to build an intellectual machine that can enhance how we communicate.

AI in workplace communications

With the advent of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, we’re about to begin a new era for interactions in the work environment. Such rising technologies are creating exciting opportunities, leading in an ecosystem where virtual robots, voice assistants and robotic process automation (RPA) will serve in collaboration with humans to streamline both communications and operations. This will have an enormous impact on both the work we do and the way we communicate with colleagues and clients. Four of the ways emerging technologies will impact the workplace is-

Greater focus on higher value work

Applying AI and machine learning, an organization can shift monotonous, repeated jobs from its workforce to virtual robots, relieving employees to focus on more complex, value added pursuits. Robotic process automation can replace back-office tasks, such as those in finance, accounting, and sales operations. For example, robots could manage an entire ordering process, from data entry to creating an order to processing the invoice.A sales team can utilize artificial intelligence to examine various systems and create a list of adequate leads, relieving them to contribute more time to their clients . While RPA is cost-effective, fast and accurate, its prominent benefit may be happier employees and customers.

Ability to Personalize at Scale

One of the constant hurdles of delivering stellar customer service has been the challenge of scaling to meet demands for personalization. Self-service and Interactive voice response technologies bring us closer to this goal, but the addition of AI increases the potential to achieve exceptional personalization.

For example in Financial investment companies, wealth managers can automate the method of creating investment portfolio reviews, giving them more time to spend on building customer relationships and developing new ones. Some organizations already use the technology to transform raw data into personalized communications that explain how each investor is progressing toward their goals, reports the Financial Brand .

Enhance Customer Experiences

Chatbots powered by AI is used to automate communications, they simulate interaction with another human. They can be utilized in many ways to engage with customers, such as answering questions or providing shopping assistance. Customers benefit from quicker service, while contact center agents are relieved to focus on solving more complicated requests.

Predication capabilities streamline work

Predictive analytics places both big data and machine learning to work producing important insights about customers. For example, IBM is applying its Watson cognitive system to evaluate a broad range of data sets — customer, supplier, weather, and trends, to name some — to assist retailers better target their customers. Another use is to enhance interactions in the contact center. Salesforce sees the rise of CRM tools equipped with smart analytics, which “can ‘listen’ to the words and tones used during a customer interaction to suggest the best possible next steps an agent should take.” One result: Many interactions become faster and easier to manage .

Artificial Intelligence in Communications and Brand Compliance

Artificial intelligence can be programmed to respond the same way to a scenario without the uncertainty of emotional or heated responses. An AI chatbot can be programmed to respond correctly to certain keywords, phrases, or situations that comply with the brand style guide or company’s guidelines.

Automated content creation and personalized content

Today, automated content production is done by AI. Written articles particularly ones that can mathematically analyze, are created solely by artificial intelligence .The Associated Press is applying artificial intelligence to build full-scale earnings reports and minor league baseball reports. The potential is there for companies to produce news releases, marketing elements, and other valuable business publications.AI has excellent potential in communication. Collaborating AI with the power of big data is generating opportunities for media, marketing, public relations, and customer service.
