Mystic Mountain Festival, 2018
Festival born out of friendship, love for nature and inspiration to share beautiful music in a truly mythical natural environment, to drift together through the inner worlds.
A week ago I attended a festival in a heart of Velebit Nature Park, Croatia’s most significant habitat of endemic flora and fauna declared an international biosphere reserve by UNESCO. After a long winter, I waited for that day with big excitement, the Summer Solstice — one of the most powerful moments of the year.
I attended as a Photographer, so I would like to share a few photos with you that tells story by itself.
Camp Velebit is located in Baške Oštarije, Croatia—settlement on the Velebit Mountain, 920m above sea level and only 20 min from the Adriatic Sea. Velebit is the largest though not the highest mountain range in Croatia. Its highest peak is the Vaganski vrh at 1,757 m.

Fresh mountain air, combination of Mediterranean and continental climate, crystal clear spring water.
One of the most amazing night sky full of stars with no light pollution.
Nearby crystal clear sea and unbelievably strong energy of the area strengthen your presence, enrich your sensations and make being there an unforgettable experience just by itself.
Velebit forms a natural boundary between continental and Mediterranean climatic regions.

There are many hiking and biking trails, cliffs for rock climbing, lookout points overlooking Velebit’s impressive white cliffs and Mediterranean archipelago.
You can also hang out with horses, try adrenaline park, explore nearby beaches and much more things are offered by Baške Oštarije—village on top of magnificent Velebit mountain, a hidden gem still undiscovered by mass tourism.
