Physics

The typical person reaches terminal velocity in about 12 seconds during freefall. During that time, he will have traveled about five football fields. Or more accurately, I will have traveled five football fields.

Fear is for the less evolved. It served its purpose when we ran from saber-toothed tigers. Not for me though. Inside my brain, my amygdala would have told me to run toward that tiger.

Each jump, I take fewer precautions because I need more and more adrenaline. My brain is my drug dealer.

Today I jump with no parachute. I need my fix. A more permanent fix.
