Moral degradation is a phenomenon of a decrease in the character of a person or group of people. The problem that happens in our country right now is because the Government is too busy with a variety of political and economic problems occurring in the country making the Government put aside the issue of moral degradation. Due to negligence and lack of Government attention to the problem of moral degradation, moral teens now experiencing high levels of degradation. This is a sad thing that happened in our country.

Some of the factors that cause degradation of morals can be viewed from various aspects such as social deviation, lack of supervision and care of the parents, and advances in science and technology, the influence of foreign culture. These four factors are related to each other. Social aberrations are generally caused by the process of socialization that is less than perfect. the destruction of a household making a child does not know the discipline and good manners. This is caused because parents as agents of socialization are not doing the proper role. In addition, coupled with the rapid progress in science and technology that allows the existence of a foreign culture can affect the attitude of the students.

Indonesia was recently surprised by the existence of cases of students who opposed his teacher. It’s not just happening in only one school but occurs in almost all regions of Indonesia. Even the worst not only on the Court, but it ended in death. Of course, I’m against the incident. It was very embarrassing if it happens in Indonesia, especially the students as the next generation of the nation must be able to accept responsibility for the progress of the country. A teacher in charge to guide and remind students when they did wrong. However, if students dare to challenge the teacher, then who can be blamed for this incident?

Everyone shall be obliged to take responsibility for this incident by improving moral education. Moral education teaches students how to behave well, how to behave to someone older, fellow or younger. Moral education can be obtained from various aspects such as the formal aspects of education/school environment, family, and social environment. With the regulations firmly from either school, family or social, then the good moral will grow in each student.
