Likes stopped being a valid expression of someone’s interest once OKC felt the need to homogenize functionality with sister site Tinder because That’s What The Young Kids Do. You have explicitly reduced the value of your service based on poorly interpreted UX research by conforming your service to the majority of glazed over, apathetic phone addicts, taking the path of least resistance and, in the case of dating, least result (unless you’re super hot).
Thanks Match.com/IAC! Can’t say I’m surprised, it’s not like people making successful connections actually benefits your business model. I can’t be all complaints though, I’ll be saving over $120 per year not paying for A-list anymore!
