SIRIN LABS / Cardano Announce Strategic Partnership

I am so excited to tell you about our new strategic partnership with Emurgo and Cardano.

What do they do?

Emurgo develops, supports, and incubates commercial ventures and helps integrate these businesses into Cardano’s decentralized blockchain ecosystem.

Cardano is a decentralised public blockchain and cryptocurrency project that is now a top-5 cryptocurrency by market capitalisation. Cardano is developing a smart contract platform which seeks to deliver more advanced features than any protocol previously developed, and it is the first blockchain platform to evolve out of a scientific philosophy and a research-first driven approach. Their global development team is a collective of expert engineers and researchers.

Why is this important?

Not only will the FINNEY’s cold-storage wallet support Cardano’s native token (ADA), but the Emurgo team will also be aiding the SIRIN LABS R&D team to integrate the FINNEY smartphone and SIRIN OS with the Cardano protocol.

The availability of the ADA token within the SIRIN LABS ecosystem, will undoubtedly enhance the user experience and utility of the FINNEYTM smartphone, for both crypto enthusiasts and mainstream users.

The FINNEY’s cold-storage wallet will be designed to seamlessly interact between tokens and coins that are supported within the wallet. So first, the ADA token will be supported in the wallet. Next, we are creating a DApp store and providing developers with an SDK to significantly grow the number of DApps in existence. This partnership will bring ADA support and functionality to the DApp store, meaning that if you want to purchase an app from the DApp store, but you only have ADA stored in your wallet and since all transactions will need to be performed in SRN, you will be able to make that purchase in ADA. The wallet’s functionality will automatically and seamlessly exchange your ADA for SRN. Users will be prompted to approve a transaction for the appropriate amount of ADA, and then the phone will conduct the transaction in SRN.

This partnership, with an organization as renowned and recognized as Cardano, speaks to the belief in the SIRIN LABS vision. This functionality speaks to the ability to bring a friendly and simplified user experience, which in-turn creates the mass-appeal to bring the blockchain into the hands of every person who uses a smartphone.
