This FINNEY™ Phone Feature Will Keep You Energized All Day Long

With the official release of the specs this week, we want to zero-in on one of the unsung hero components of the FINNEY™ blockchain smartphone. It’s something that we usually think about only when we need it — the battery.

Everyone knows how crazy it is being on-the-go all the time with few opportunities when we can stop being connected to our handy mobile devices. Daily usage was one of the major factors we considered when building the specs for the FINNEY™, particularly with regards to the battery.

We recognize that our phone is going to be appealing to both the average user as well as the power crypto user, so we want to ensure that the battery will be robust enough to keep regular users going through their day, without leaving the power user high and dry. This is why we’ve built in a couple of features to keep you going while you’re on-the-go.

First, there’s the quick-charge function which will allow users to power-up their phone to 50% within just 30 minutes. Getting a quick charge is paramount because we know how frustrating it can be to feel like you need to be plugged in to a wall for an hour or longer. We want to ensure that all a user needs to do is sit down for a quick cup of coffee at a café, plug in while working at their desk, or even get some juice to the phone in the car on a short drive, and within 30 minutes, they’ll be set to finish their day without needing to panic over how long the battery will last.

The next is the secure P2P battery trading feature within the SIRIN OS™. We wanted to create a much more engaging and friendly environment within the FINNEY™ community, so if you happen to see a stranger with a FINNEY™, you will be able to approach them, connect to their phone, and charge your phone from their battery. This is a really cool feature, not only from the viewpoint of creating a much closer-knit FINNEY™ community, but also because we believe that users shouldn’t be afraid of doing something nice for a stranger, and users should be capable of being rewarded for giving battery life to someone else.

It was with this in mind that we created our proof-of-concept for the SIRIN OS™ secure P2P connection. It allows developers to create functionality and applications capable of piggy-backing off of someone else’s device, and in return, repaying that person using SRN Tokens.

There are so many aspects of the FINNEY™’s tech specs that we’re excited about — from the chipset, to the screen, and of course, the battery. It has been truly humbling to see how excited the entire community has been from the announcement of the updated tech specs. The specifications represent long days and longer nights for our industrial designers and product team, and there’s much more coming to bring crypto to the mass market. You ain’t seen nothing yet.
