Does the spiritual process have an end to it?

Spiritual is a word we created to represent something.

chair and desk — the image appears in the mind. We made the word to represent the chair so the brain and mind know what it is.

Its language and the English alphabet slowly evolved to its present form in about the 7th century.

Have you heard the phrase that the word is not the thing? It is a word in mind to bring up an image of the chair. The word chair is not the chair itself. It is just a word. We used language to communicate with each other and that is probably how naturally it evolved into what it is today. In fact, one form of thinking is verbal thinking which is using language to think. It is silent self-talk thinking, verbal thinking. We are silently talking to ourselves as a form of thinking. Like 2 people speaking aloud to communicate with each other, verbal thinking is the same, as just talking to oneself for the brain to hear us so the brain can process our thoughts.

So spiritual is just another word to represent what?

You do not want to beat around the bush with this answer — just tell me what spiritual means, you might say. It has a full package meaning to it. A big picture meaning. The whole enchilada meaning to the word spiritual.

It is meaning is in this illustration:

If the word spiritual was not created then part of its meaning would be introspection but introspection is just part of the whole spiritual process with includes its practices.

So it is this, its whole enchilada meaning, with everything in it, is that we have an external reality. Our external reality is only an equivalent of the real reality of the universe. Our reality is an equivalent of the real reality because it is only the mind that is our reality. We see, and the brain processes information — it is a processed reality in the mind and hence not the real thing. It is an equivalent of the real thing.

So since we do not have the whole enchilada of reality in our minds we decided to introspect to discover the true reality that is us. This whole process of introspection with all its practices and about the brain and the mind and trying to find the Truth that is us as our True Self has come under the umbrella of the word spirituality.

So you see your question: How is the human mind spiritual in nature? The mind is not spiritual. It is just a display for the working brain for perception. The mind is what is showing us the equivalent of the true reality. It cannot show us the Truth of reality with perception. Even the brain is not spiritual in nature it is just a processing centre of information to generate perception. So what is it in us that is driving this need to be spiritual in ourselves? Why did we create the word spiritual? Why are we so curious about what is not real about us and why reality as we know it is not the real thing. What is driving us in this process and why? How will it benefit us when we find the answer. We live and we die. Our lives are only about 100 years on this planet. Even the planet dies in the distant future and also the sun burns out and perishes as some say. Science says the universe will one day end, hence why spirituality. What is driving the curiosity and is there a prize at the end of it? Why is “suffering” as a word and a thing in itself in body and mind, built into the spiritual process which forces us to introspect? Can the spiritual process and its practices end this curiosity, so we can get on with our lives to live it and enjoy it and experience it rather than this perpetual search for meaning?

I have an ending to this curiosity but I am not sure if it is only an interim solution. It is all about finding our full potential in body and mind, functioning without the suffering in mind when the curiosity comes to an end, and finding our place in the universe — this is when the spiritual process comes to an end.

This is what brings an end to the word spiritual. This is you as the universe itself in body and mind.

This is our True Self reality. We now experience life at its full potential, True Self reality, in body and mind.
