Andela Kenya Class V Boot camp
Week 2 (Day 5 — Day 9)
What a week it’s been! I can’t believe it’s already Friday.
From Day 5, when we were assigned the projects, till today (Day 9), there hasn’t been a free moment. It’s been intense.
My project was to write a python library that allows a user to create a graph, and perform several operations on it.
The most challenging aspect of the project was narrowing the scope so that I could finish it in three days, but also ensuring that I would be able to produce something interesting.
We have just presented our projects, and are waiting to know who will be accepted into the Andela fellowship. Though I’m proud of the work I produced, I feel I could have done a better job with the presentation.
This time I’m the one who’s called in first. The committee informs me that I’ve been accepted into the fellowship. To say that I’m happy would be an understatement. I’m ecstatic!
I’m informed that there are few issues that need to be worked out before I can start, but I have a spot in the fellowship.
p.s; This week we had an experienced software developer give an interesting talk on DevOps.
