Wardell, you can look at Florida as the cause of Lake Okeechobee. The Governor refuses to allow the purchase of more land to drain water south. The area above the lake has been overdeveloped due to lax or non-existent regulations. They continue dumping pollution into the lake. THIS is the problem with doing away with the EPA. Are they perfect? NO. They are just far better than leaving it up to politicians in each state to handle. I live in a hog producing state. Our Republican led officials have allowed uncontrolled building of commercial hog farms located next to our unpolluted rivers and even one national river. These type farms are known for accidental overflows of their sewage retaining lakes.
