Adobe Photoshop is the best editing tool for any photographs. One can able to add any filter to their photographs and can make it attractively. This tool can either be used for personal as well as in business point of view. Now let us see in detail about placing an image over text.

Steps for Creating a Clipping Mask:

  1. Set required width and height for the new project.
  2. Choose the image you want to place inside your text.

3. Type the text in which you need the image as the background for the text which you entered.

4. Set the required details for the text such as Font name, size, spacing between the letter, height of text and its color in the required panel.

5. You can also use Blending options to add extra effects to the text such as enabling the text with shadow, glowing effects and some texture and strokes to the text.

6. Place the image layer above the text layer.

7. You can adjust the image according to the effects you need for the particular text.

8. Then Right click on the image layer you will be able to find an option called as “Create Clipping Mask.”

9. By clicking on the options, you can able to view the text with the image which you chose for the particular text.

10. Save your file, according to the usability as PSD or JPEG or PNG.
