The Book which has Transformed my Life.
There are many personal-growth books out there in the market these days. People want to improve themselves in many aspects of their life. But how many books are there that is practical and really change your life for the better? This article is about what’s the main idea of the book and also my experience from doing things the book suggests.
Miracle Morning is the book’s name. The author, Hal Elrod, gathered all things that successful people do and desperately tried them all during his bad days everyday in the morning. The result was so amazing that he decided to write a book and shared it with anyone.
According to Hal’s research, there are 6 things successful people do. He calls them the “SAVERS”.
- Silence: Do the meditation. You can do any form of meditation you like. This will help to deal with stress.
- Affirmation: Say out loud things you want them to happen to you and also steps needed to get there. This is not for crazy people. Because most things we think actually come from our subconscious mind which we can’t control.
- Visualization: Similar to Affirmation but visualize them in your mind instead.
- Exercise: Work out.
- Reading: To improve your knowledge. It can be listening to audio books.
- Scribing: Or writing. Ask yourself questions and writing answers down.
The order doesn’t matter. It’s all up to you. Besides, for those who don’t have much time, you can even start only 6 minutes per day, just one minute per ritual.
I found this valuable book at the end last year and decided to start waking up early to do Miracle Morning since this new year. It’s been more than 70 days already and I can’t wait to share it with the world.
I don’t think I’m perfectly qualified to say what you should get after doing the Miracle Morning because I don’t do all the SAVERS, plus I do some of them at night which means you might get more benefits than me. However, I can’t stand not to share about what I’ve got so far.
My great result is come from this ritual, Exercise. On every working day, I wake up at 6.00 a.m., leave my home and exercise at a gym. When I finish working out, I go to my work. Before hand, I used to feel stressed everyday in the evening after I had been working since the morning. Because to work in my position, I need a lot of brain power and I can’t maintain good condition of my brain until the end of the day. Around 4 a.m., I always started feeling tense in my head even though I still had 2 more hours to work. The worst thing was I had to have roughly 6 pills of medicine each meal for my GERD disease.
Today, things has changed. I can work much more effectively and can maintain the good brain condition until I finish my work everyday. Moreover you will not believe that I don’t need medicine anymore. The important point that I want to add here is not to misunderstand that exercise has transformed my life but it is exercise in the morning. I believe I will not gain this much benefits from exercise in the evening.
Let’s exercise in the morning.
There is no better time to start other than NOW. I guarantee you will see unbelievable results happening to your life. Yes I know waking up early is not easy at all. Why don’t you read this article of mine about making habit. You have to struggle with it for a while and once you get used to it, it will be easy for you. However, I recommend you to read the book. It contains easy steps for you to follow and a lot of great stuffs inside.
Lastly, I want to say thank you to Hal that’s shared this miracle to the world. It’s transformed my life. Now it’s my turn to share it to more people. That’s why I wrote this article. How is your morning these days? Waking up purposefully or waking up because you have to? Ever exercise in the morning? Share yours below. :)
