In this article, we discussed about the overview of DMAIC methodology and its importance. Now days, Organizations are more focus to trained their employees with six sigma methodology.

Six Sigma Methodologies:

DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) and DMADV (Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, Verify) are the two methodologies which are used in the six sigma concept.

Six Sigma

DMAIC is an effective techniques used in the six sigma concept. It is a data driven approach helps to improving, optimizing, detecting and designing of the product or service. Define, measure, analyze, improve, control are the five phases which are used in DMAIC.

Define:Define is the first process used in six sigma, the objective of the Define is to achieve the Business goal; the project team design the project under the customer satisfaction and their needs.

Measure:It collects the data, for improving the guidelines of the Project. Data driven approach is a flow chart of DMAIC process

Analyze:Analyze is a method which is used to detecting the errors perfectly. It helps to knowing the root causes of the issue. These processes until repeated when the true root causes errors are detected.

Improve:After the detection of true root causes issues to pursue in the improvement step. This step which is used to implement and verify the project.

Control:The purpose of the Control is ensuring to monitoring the project of updated process.

So, in Last Six Sigma methodologies are help to achieve the Business growth, improving efficiency and quality, eliminating errors, reduce wastage, increasing the business profits, focusing customer friendly etc, which will help the professionals to get growth in their career.
