[Scene: two elegant ladies sipping afternoon tea]

1st lady (Gail Boenning): Nice scones.

2nd lady (Jules): Effen right.

[a knock at the door]

2nd lady: Effen come in.

[a butler enters]

Butler (me): A package for you, Miss.

[he hands it to 1st lady]

2nd lady: What happened to yer effen accent?

Butler: I’m acting, Miss.

2nd lady: You could effen fool me. [to 1st lady] What is it?

1st lady: Just a lot of words. Who sent me this?

Butler: The boy did not make that clear, Miss. He indicated that it contained something of your own, whose return had been promised.

2nd lady: OK, I’ve had enough of this. Get out.

Butler: Miss?

2nd lady: I meant, effen get out.

Butler: Thank you, Miss.

[curtain]
