Hey Nick — thanks so much for the thoughtful comment! I can definitely see your point, and also surmised that EoL manifested in software could essentially mean some form of Manage & Upgrade or the Support phases in the 6 Experiences.
I intended to try to simply unpack some of the smaller nuances with EoL design in a digital world, and offer some thoughtful questions to possibly provoke this type of discussion. To your point, parts of EoL design are already thought of often basic software product experiences. It’s interesting to me to take those a step further even, and start thinking about what does sustainability mean in UX, and how might we create with sustainability in mind. There’s lots to explore!
