Antoni Gaudí i Cornet was born on June 25, 1852, in Reus, Catalonia, Spain. From a young age, Gaudí displayed a fascination with nature and an innate talent for art and design. He enrolled at the Escola Superior d’Arquitectura in Barcelona in 1873, where he immersed himself in the study of architecture, drawing inspiration from diverse sources such as Gothic, Moorish, and oriental styles.

Gaudí’s architectural vision was characterized by a departure from traditional forms and a pursuit of unique, organic designs. His works aimed to create a harmonious relationship between architecture and nature. Gaudí believed that architecture should reflect the principles of the natural world, incorporating curves, undulating lines, and organic motifs.
