Chapter 2 Trading journal #87–05/14/2019 +$55
Day overview:
What to keep working on:
- Do not let stock go. Today after I took trades there were at least 2 more opportunities in 30% of the tickers I traded. Keep watching stock (if there is the volume( after stopping out.
- Keep your mind open. Today I was flexible, I had as many longs in one day as the whole last month ( approximately)
- Buying into breakouts of HOD is not a good idea. In trades like this — should be way earlier.
- Tomorrow I will be working on the same things. Watch and don’t let go of stocks that move. Keep my mind open to the possibilities and probabilities — long or short
STNE +$30
When 49 broke for a second — I should have hit the bid, not only stop out. It was a decent level to do so.
Should have stuck to the stock and traded it. It provided many more clean-range trades.
NBY +$25
On my first entry — I should have again watched it after the stop. Was long there, bought the offer when it was taken out, instead offers stepped down right away, so I thought this is a short and got short to watch how the spread opens up above 70s — got out on the bid, and the offer. In the meanwhile, this was a good opportunity to get long.
Should have continued trading it after.
SAEX +$19
Short-long-short-long-short ( got out -nothing was happening)
TXRC +$11
Was not able to get more shares
OPTT +$4
Should have just stayed away from this one
YRIV +$1
AYTU -$5
1st mistake here — got long thinking it was a breakout long and missed proper positioning for a short.
2nd mistake — should have re-attack it. There were no pops what so over
SLDB -$13
Too much bias here — The same problem I had with the $UXIN trade. Stock is trending higher after the open. It’s SSR, there is a bid. WTF hold on to this short????
TME -$18
Tried long SSR in the consolidation — got dumped on ( Exactly the same pattern happened an hour before)
Got short against 120K offer. Again mistake, at this point, I should have been thinking about how to get long of this offer — get some before — add more when they take it out — add on a pullback. That’s the proper way of thinking.
